Namaste. This is Krishna Keshava Das, Founder/Owner and Holistic Health Counselor of Subtle Healing LLC. I started my first year of college in September of 2012 as a Sustainability major and Holistic Health minor.  Going through the motions of what I was “supposed to do”, I could never focus on my studies.  Getting involved with distractions that were not conducive to discovering a fulfilling life path, I longed for something outside of the mainstream approach.

My first conscious step towards self discovery was reading Way of the Peaceful Warrior by Dan Millman. This story of a Berkeley College student finding his guru, a mysterious gas station attendant named Socrates, captivated me. Within 6 months of finishing the book I attended a retreat. The Millman Peaceful Warrior Experience was on July 21, 2013 at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, New York. Camping with and being surrounded by like-minded seekers for an entire weekend was inspirational.  Following the retreat, I drifted through another year of college as a Philosophy major and Writing minor.  Spending most time researching various spiritual paths and lifestyle approaches, it’s no surprise that I took a leave from school during my junior year.  I did not know exactly what I was searching for, but by the grace of God I stumbled into very nice people who helped me develop some clarity.

Since the beginning of my 20’s, I’ve had the privilege of navigating the vast Alternative and Holistic Healing community that exists throughout New Jersey.  The accumulation of many diverse experiences and training, such as Shamanic Sound Healing, Reiki level I and II, Native American (Lakota Sioux) Sweat Lodges and Vision Quest, Ashtanga Yoga (YTT), and Ayurvedic Nutrition (HHC),  have become a very nice foundation for starting Subtle Healing.

During the Autumn of 2016, I completed a training to become a Healing Rhythms Drum Circle Facilitator. In January 2017, I began holding Meditative Sound Circles at a local yoga studio. One year later, I completed a training at Ayurveda’s World in NYC to became a Board Certified Holistic Health Counselor through the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP).  Subtle Healing LLC was licensed on May 11, 2018.

Now, Subtle Healing provides programs for both the general public and private groups. Working with community organizations like the Monmouth County Park System and local yoga studios, the public programs empower participants with Natural Stress Solutions through utilizing Integrative Sound Therapy and other holistic modalities. Our private group sessions include groups for those with Developmental Disabilities, Assisted Living Facilities/Memory Care Units, and Family Programs at Addiction Treatment Centers. These sessions use singing bowls, drumming, mantra meditation, and more to engage participants in new ways which naturally promote stress relief, relaxation, and rejuvenation.  I encourage you to reach out and ask about which program may be best for your community.
